Sensory Profile
The Ondari Tinto, made from Tempranillo and Merlot, appears in the glass with a deep garnet hue. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of wild berries and cherries, complemented by subtle notes of tobacco and vanilla. Despite its concentrated fruit, the wine remains fresh on the palate and shows a multilayered structure. Its pronounced minerality, balanced acidity, and firm tannins lead into a long-lasting finish.
Serving Suggestion
The ideal serving temperature for Ondari Tinto is 13–15 °C. This wine pairs beautifully with game dishes, hearty stews, and aged cheese.
Origin
Ondari Tinto comes from Castilla y León, one of Spain’s largest and most important wine regions, located northwest of Madrid. This area is known for its rich history dating back to Roman times, as well as its significant winemaking traditions, which were further developed under the influence of Catholic monks in the 11th century.
