Origin
La Rioja is Spain’s most renowned and historically significant wine region, recognized as a Denominación de Origen (DO) since 1925 and elevated to Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) in 1991. Stretching along the Ebro River in northern Spain, the region features a diverse mix of soils, ranging from limestone-rich to iron-bearing clays. This varied composition imparts a distinctive minerality to its wines.
